Hereford & Shrewsbury

Fri 8 − Sun 10 July 2011 − £196 (single supplement £50)

Two English border towns with a wealth of history, great pubs, breweries and beer. And as for the Hereford Beer Festival, best get there early before the beer runs out!

In the barrels in Hereford there's one of the best all round pubs you're likely to find anywhere. Shrewsbury is blessed with far more than its share of fabulous pubs serving an incredible range of local beers. And in between the two stands Ludlow for a top brewery tour right by the station.

"Oh I have been to Ludlow fair, and left my necktie God knows where. And carried half way home, or near, pints and quarts of Ludlow beer. Then the world seemed none so bad, and I myself a sterling lad. And down in lovely muck I've lain, happy − till I woke up again." − A.E. Housman
